Who we are

Referrals Buddy ("we", "us") operates the referral code directory at referralsbuddy.com. Contact: info@referralsbuddy.com

Data we collect

• Account data: email, name, password (hashed), member id
• Referral codes and links you submit (displayed publicly when in rotation)
• Brand requests you submit when a merchant is not listed (name, logo URL, offer details)
• Anonymous browser fingerprints for fair queue rotation and vote integrity
• Usage analytics and Core Web Vitals (with consent)
• Payment metadata via Stripe for Express Lane (we never store card details)
• Referral invite links containing your member id

Lawful bases (UK GDPR)

• Contract: account, code submission, payments, referral tracking
• Legitimate interests: queue fairness, fraud prevention, public code display
• Consent: non-essential analytics cookies

How we use data

To operate the queue, display codes to shoppers, process Express Lane payments, prevent abuse, and improve site performance. We do not sell your personal data.

Stripe (payments), hosting provider, email provider (if enabled).

Retention

• Account data: until you delete your account
• Codes: until withdrawn or account deleted
• Brand requests: until approved, rejected, or account deleted
• Offer reports: up to 12 months
• Analytics logs: up to 12 months
• Reveal/vote logs: up to 24 months for queue integrity

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data from your account page or by contacting us. You may complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
